Natural Horsemanship
Natural Horsemanship is based on understanding the nature of horses and communicating with them in ways they understand. This leads to a safer and more enjoyable experience. Instead of using force, intimidation or gimmicks to control the horse, body language and intuition is used. Natural horsemanship starts by interacting with the horse from the ground, gaining it's trust and respect. Once this relationship is established then riding becomes a safer and more enjoyable experience for both horse and human.

Participant Testimonials
"In order to truly elevate performance, an instructor must have a complete working knowledge in all aspects of horsemanship. This includes an ability to accurately discern core problems and issues, and correct them in an honest, caring manner. Stephanie Lockhart not only has this ability, but possesses an unusually keen perception of the horses and the people who receive her instruction. She helps develop knowledge, skill, courage, and confidence by conveying essential elements at a completely individualized pace." Adrienne - Wilton, Maine
"I want to thank you for helping me ride Summer today, for being so understanding and patient. I feel I can be honest with you and tell you what I do and do not want to do with her. I see that she is controllable and perhaps not the raving lunatic I feared she was. I am probably one of the most cautious people you will ever work with; it really is a miracle that I ride at all! I really appreciate all that you are doing for both of us." Jenny - Waterville, Vermont.
"Stephanie Lockhart is Mary Poppins for horses. She is what you get when you take an intuitive horse person and combine that with years of study and dedication to learning what makes horses tick. With Stephanie, you get the kind of loving relationship with your horse you dreamed of as a kid but with all the response and power competitive riders want." Pamela - Buhler, Switzerland
"Thanks so much for today... We will work on our patterns and consistency. You clarified some things I was stuck on so thanks....I really enjoy the play with Jewel and look forward to seeing how far along we can go." Jodie, Waitsfield, VT
"Today's lesson was fantastic!!! Thank you so much for your never ending patience, kindness, intuition, and fabulous eye." Nana - Charlotte, VT
